What is HeloEvac? As Blu Cypress Solutions provides superior flight coverage through Lloyd’s, HeloEvac is the action arm of the company. HeloEvac provides a systematic group of support services designed to cater to the insured, both during and after an offshore medical emergency.
HeloEvac provides a 24-hour emergency toll-free number to all of its HeMEP policyholders. During an offshore medical emergency, when you call, HeloEvac will –
• put you in touch with a licensed medical doctor for an
immediate assessment of the patient;
• call for the helicopter on your behalf if a flight is deemed
medically necessary;
• have the patient flown to a land-based hospital for treatment;
• directly receive your flight invoice and pay for it within 30
days; and
• submit the claim to the appropriate carrier for reimbursement.
HeloEvac also provides non-emergency services such as annual emergency training and drills, as well as providing emergency flight data for company and industry use.
